At what serial number did the 94 transition from 30 WCF to 30-30. According to Bob’s book it was around 1,550,000. I currently have a 1950 vintage gun in the box like new that says 30-30 on the box but 30 WCF on the barrel and it’s serial number 1,660,425?

Bob missed the mark just a bit… The actual transition from “30 W.C.F.” to “30-30 WIN.” took place in the year 1950, and in the 1670299 – 1676309 serial number range.

SO I guess there was a certain time period where the box and the gun were marked different? Thats pretty cool.
