I am looking at a 1950 Winchester model 64 with what appears to me a pattern #10 engraving.

Few questions :

Is there a positive way to tell if engraving is factory Winchester?

If it is NOT, what does the engraving do to the value of the rifle? ( Rifle is at least 90%)

If the engraving is factory , what does it add to the value of the gun?

Thank You .

Yes, there is a positive way to tell. Non-factory engraving is typically at least a 50% deduction in the value. After looking at the pictures you sent to me, I am 100% sure that it was engraved after the fact.
