Looking for a value on the 1894 in a 25-35 serial number 196780. I have requested the letter from Cody and will post it when it arrives. Seems to be a fairly high end build with “brownie Brothers Ogden U”  on the barrel

Zach,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but…

Are you aware of the fact that the rifle has been reblued?

Additionally, the stocks are in hard used (abused) condition.

What condition is the bore in?

Does the set trigger function properly?

The “BROWNING BROTHERS ODGEN U.” marking is a plus, as is the set trigger, but they are not going to overcome the refinish and poor condition of the stocks.

The extra holes in the receiver don’t help either, but if the bore is good, would make a fine shooter

The bore appears to be in good shape and the set rigger functions. I wasn’t aware that it had been reblued but I am just happy to be learning about all of these rifles finally

As originally manufactured, the hammer, lever, and butt plate were all case color finished.  Additionally, 120-year old screws heads never retain 100% dark blue polished finish.

This what a high condition original finished Model 1894 looks like…

Zach,

If you offered this rifle to (20) different collectors, you would most likely get (20) different offers.  There simply is no way to put a value number on that rifle.
