Hello,
When looking at replacement 1894 forearms I see some are for large calibers and some are for small calibers. When referring to the 1894 (pre 64), which calibers are considered large and which are small? Specifically, which is the 25-35? Second question, are all 1894 magazine tubes the same or do we get into the large/small issue again?
Thanks so much for your time. Appreciate it.
The 5 different 1894 calibers were all made with cartridge cases that had the same rim diameter. That is the critical dimension that determines the size of the magazine tube so the answer to your question "So do I correctly interpret your answer to be that an 1894 forearm is correct and will properly fit any 1894 regardless of caliber?" is definitely YES!
