I was browsing Gunbroker today and came across a Spruce gun that’s not on the serial number list on the "Martially Marked" article on this website. Thought someone might want to add this one to the list.

Don,

I already had this serial number on the list of known Spruce Guns, but please keep up the good work of looking for them. Keep in mind that the list published by Rick Hill on the WACA website is several years old now.

Thanks Bert. I was under the impression that the serial number list was current. How many Spruce guns do you have on the list now? My dad happens to have 2 of them. One is the "MASS 10" marked gun–not sure what it means though.

Don,

I have (178) that are confirmed Spruce Guns, and another with (15) confirmed or suspected to be fakes.

Bert, where do I obtain a list of serial numbers to see if mine is on there?

My rifles #847143. If it is on the list, is there a chance I can get a copy.

 Thanks Randy

Hello Randy,

Your Spruce Gun is on the list.  Please contact me via email, and I will send you a copy of the list (it is an Excel spreadsheet).

Thanks again. If you be so kind please send the list to [email protected]. I got this rifle at the Tulsa Gun Show about 3 years ago and it’s one of my favorites. Only second to my Win. 1873 22 long.

Look forward to seeing the list to putting with my other history papers.

 Randy
