For 2 1892 rifles of similar vintage and condition what would be the difference in value between a standard rifle and a takedown rifle?

Good morning Mark,

The TD frame rifle will cost you about 15% more unless YOUR desire, which is what drives the perceived value, is greater for one or the other.  Approximately 10% of the Model 1892 sporting rifles were fitted with takedown frames.  But rarity does not alone drive value.  Otherwise round barrel sporting rifle would be much more expensive!!

The take down will still have a slight premium value but they will both be valued less than octagon or half octagon configurations.   By most guys.  But also maybe not by everyone.
