Looked at a neat 1892 rifle yesterday at a local show. It had a three-digit serial number, #714, and was chambered in 44 WCF. Pretty nice condition with about 80 percent blue remaining on the receiver. Bad news, octagon barrel was cut to 20 inches and the wood was sanded. It was somewhat tempting at the $1200 asking price and would probably go lower. What would be a good price for something like this?
