Hello all,
Recently focused on a rifle in my collection it is an 1888 date Model 1886 in 40-82.
It appears to have a 1” barrel and a single set trigger, I was hoping that folks might chime in.
Bert, if you would like to include this rifle in your database, 14887.
I will post pictures, it has been restored long before my acquisition.

Kenny’; You may want to check Your text , a 1″ bbl. is mighty short. Do You have a letter for it?
Hi Henry,
Great to hear from you !
Always wondered about the Canadian sense of humor, LOL !
26” long and 1” across the flat.
I was hoping to get a preliminary consensus on the rifle’s originality before ordering a letter.
Hope you are well and enjoying life.
Kenny B.
1″ at the muzzle or at the breach

That is typically what a extra heavy measures.

Other than the refinishing, it looks right to me. A rare rifle with a barrel that heavy and the set trigger is additive. Makes sense it would have a set trigger with that heavy barrel. I would certainly spring for the Cody letter if it were mine.
Thanks for the input brother.
