Hi all,
I recently purchased a Winchester 1886, serial 15565 offline based on the price alone…I really didn’t see any good pictures of the rifle. Well the rifle showed up and it’s in good shape…could use a new forend but the one that is there works. I bought it as a shooter.
Anyways, it’s chambered in 45-70, has a heavy barrel and a single set trigger. How common were these? The serial dates it to 1888 but Cody does not have the record 🙁
