Does anyone have some pictures of what the cap would look like on a button/half magazine round barrel 50 cal?  The one of most interest does not stick out much at all and is rounded.  It does not have the protruding tab that goes into a slot on the barrel.  A side and front view would be nice.

I don’t  have one for the ’76, but I did find a cap and plug from an 1886 rifle in my pars bin.  Not sue why I have it, but I  do.  If all you want is a photo, private message me with your email address and I’ll  try to get some photos to you tomorrow. My guess is you’re  more interested in the shape and how it fits in the nose cap.

Here are all the photos I can source from the inter-web. There seems to be three styles. The first is the magazine tube extends beyond the forearm cap, and a flat faced magazine cap secured by a screw and a tab with a notch in the barrel. The second is similar to the first, but a round magazine cap, same way to secure. The third method has NO protrusion of the magazine tube from the forearm cap, has a round faced magazine cap, and is captured by the forearm cap.

I think he needs the last one pictured.  Would one from an 86 50 cal work on his 50 Cal 76?
