Hello, a friend of mine picked up an 1873 marked E. KINSEL46140-1.jpegImage Enlarger stamped on the stock by the lower tang. Anyone familiar with this retailer? Thanks,

Casey

You would need a serial no. to start a search in the right time frame. Don

Casey,  First, I’ve no idea.  Secondly, I would seriously doubt any retailer would stamp the stock in such manner.  My guess is it may be an owner from the past, possibly an outfitter or ranch, etc.  The serial number is obvious in the picture if anyone wishes to pursue the date of the rifle.  My ideas only, though.
