Winchester did not – see the Winter 2016 edition of the Collector magazine – it has a great article with extensive information on the Model 65. There are quite of few 92’s around that were fitted with the Model 65 barrel (non-factory). The Madis Book indicates a few Model 92’s were made in 1936-1938 that were the 218 Bee caliber – however these would have the Model 92 designation on the barrel.

Did winchester ever offer a m92 receiver/stock with a m65 218 Bee barrel?
In my ssurvey of the Model 1892/92 rifles have found quite a few re-barreled Model 92’s with Model 65 components. The obvious mismatch of Model designation, typically the condition is different, and the presence of an “Oval P” proof stamp makes them quite obvious.

There was a long discussion on this forum concerning model 92s chambered in 218 BEE a year or two ago. Bert said he’d found about five that “appeared” to be correct and several that obviously weren’t correct. I have one of the “could be” correct guns. Julia Auctions sold the one pictured in the Madis Book. RDB
