Has anyone ever heard of Winchster Model 1895 used by the first royal Saxon cavalry regiment No.17 until 1919? According to Wikipedia, 8000 pieces in caliber 30-06 were bought by Saxony.
Has anyone seen one of the weapons before or knows more about it?
Greetings from Germany and stay healthy

I found a little more information: “
The 1st and 3rd squadrons were equipped from 1912 with the Winchester repeating rifle M 1895 in cal. .30-06 Winchester. This was the musket version with a device for planting bayonets. The weapon had a sight with settings up to 800 m (approx. 900 yards). The barrel length of the rifles for the German Empire was 22 inches (56 cm).”
I don’t think they were really muskets with 22 inch barrels. Rather, it was a carbine with a bayonet holder.
I’m looking for pictures or more informations.
