From my survey if 19042 guns to date 71 are in the first model range, 21 in the  second model range and 421 the third model range. Since the musket was not a big collector item unless they had high condition and were mostly sold overseas the large number of third models is because of the minty muskets in the 570,000 range from the new guns that were found in a warehouse and imported back to the US.

Bob,

there is an 1873 musket in 32 caliber listed at a local auction.  I have not yet looked at and do not have any additional information or photos, but wanted to see if this was a possibility, an incorrect description or more likely fake.  If I make it to the auction, can send some photos if you desire.

I don’t have a 32 cal musket in my survey. Get the serial number and a phone call will tell if its real.

Bob, not sure if you have this one. I have had it for a while. It has some wear but is a great shooter out to 100 yards.

Winchester 1873 3rd variation musket. Serial number 369290B, 44-40 original 30″ barrel.

Bob, understood on the lead time from Cody as 1-2 days. 

The auction flyer was incorrect, the musket was in fact a 44WCF. Mostly brown gun with the bayonet, serial number 371530B.  

May be a new one for the survey and hope this helps.
