That is number 3 of 3 in my survey;
937282, 937621, and 937686. I have a note in my survey that 937282 was 1 of 10 in the same crate, and I suspect that all three I have documented were in the same crate.

It worked.
There is a problem with that hang tag for S/N 937282… per the Winchester PR records, serial number “937282” was applied (stamped) on the receiver frame on January 30th, 1922… almost 7 full years after the date on that tag! Because I am 100% certain that the PR records are accurate, it leads me to believe that the tag is highly questionable.

The tag has the same serial number (gun number) on it as the carbine, and it appears that the gun number and date issued were written by the same person. Could it be that the date issued 3/15 means March 15th?

That is a plausible explanation, though an odd way to record a date.
