Serial number 1233704 “W” present under the serial number. The barrel seems to be a different blueing than the rest of the gun, marked 40 under the barrel.

 

Not sure how to identify any other features as this is only my second 94.

Thanks… The barrel has been reblued. The “40” on the barrel corresponds with the date of manufacture (June 1940).

The chart that I created only shows the end of each month. S/N 1244815 was the last one manufactured on 9/30/1940.  If you desire the exact date, the CFM records office can provide you with a letter for a nominal fee.
