Hello Bert,

I saw your survey on the Turnbull Restoration website and tried to email you there but could not. I have a flat band model 94 serial # 1385547 which I think was made in 1946. It has the characteristics you described. The checkered hammer, the early style inletting and the slotted end cap. The rifle is checkered and I have seen many pre-64 94s but none were checkered. I have sent photos to The Cody Center but they have not replied yet. I would like to send the photos to you but am having trouble attaching them. My name and contact info is;
