Looking at some my factory letters I note there is an ‘order number ‘.

Can anyone here tell me if these order numbers have any significance? Is there any way to research details of those orders?

 Because the records of the “orders” do not exist on the older guns the only help the number can do is to scan ledger pages for matching numbers on other guns. Example; in shipment of ten guns. The ledger pages are shipping room records with no addresses. If shipping name or address is in the ledger it would be included on your letter. T/R
