Hi Gary,

Do you have this one in your survey?  After viewing multiple photos to determine the serial number, it looks to be 139712.

This gun has some issues and it was not made in 1898.  Early 1900’s manufactured.

Yes, I had that one as its surfaced before. Needs a little more condition and the price cut in half, but it sure has some nice wood. The 24″ is found a lot less often than the 22″ and 20″.

Hey Gary,

Did you see this one that the Grove’s have?  I talked to Don on the phone about this one.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t letter with the Lyman 21.  How do you think that affects the value?  It’s a neat little short rifle with some great features and in the best caliber, but with a sight that requires extra holes drilled in the receiver that don’t letter.

Hard to see the serial number but I have 312727 in my survey which I believe is this gun …….  as it matches. Vala had it in Cody years ago.

Great little gun, and sometimes I think a non-letterable 21 sight is a break even deal for me since they are so cool. Others will certainly disagree. That said, I’d like to see it priced quite a bit lower.

Nice rifle, good eye. Barrel sights seem consistent with a receiver sight and I like the balance of a half-round barrel. It is probably a reasonable asking price but a bit too rich for me today.

Yes, I’ve had this one logged for a while. Pat is a member (frequents the forum now and then) and I’ve looked at this gun at a couple shows. A fairly scarce piece with a cool caliber.
