1894 Winchester Carbine, 25-35 W.C.F.SN 1237114
Circa 1940
“W” stamp
My guess is 80 percent condition.
My first 25-35 W.C.F. caliber carbine.

Does it have a Type 7, or a Type 6 upper tang marking? I have recorded several others in 25-35 WCF in this same serial number range, indicating that Winchester made a batch of them (July 1940).

I have a 94 carbine that exhibits all the pre-64 characteristics but is a couple hundred numbers past the last known/documented pre 64 carbine. I’ll post the number after I dig it out of the safe. Looks like new.
The last “known” pre-1964 Model 94 was serial number 2600011. If you have one that has a higher serial number, I would really like to see it.

I hadn’t seen one listed with a number in the 2,600 range. Mine is 2599xxx
Serial numbers 2600010 and 2600011 were manufactured and shipped as a pair, and they are listed in the Polishing Room serialization records as the last two pre-1964 Model 94s manufactured. George Madis erroneously published that serial number 2586000 was the last “pre-64” in his books. However, during the course of my research survey, I have verified nearly (150) pre-64 Model 94 Carbines in the 2586001 – 2600011 serial number range thus far, and (15) in the 2599000 – 2599999 range.
