Michael,

I e-mailed information on my rifle so I thought I’d post it here as well. Hopefully you are off on a fishing excursion and haven’t made time for your survey!

I have #154172. The 1’s look like L’s.

It’s a takedown sporting rifle in 32WCF marked on top of the 24″ octagon barrel, type 1b barrel address & 1b tang stamp, no widows peak hammer, crescent butt, 21a front sight & 22b rear.

The stocks appear fancy with distinct tiger stripe in the buttstock.

Letter reads:

Serial number applied December 08, 1900

Type: Rifle

Caliber: 32

Barrel type: Octagon

Trigger: Plain

Takedown

Please ask for any other info or pictures I might add. I’d like to know if it’s in your survey.

Regards,

Those are a big help Darrin.  Thanks so much.  I bet it shoots like a dream.  The rifle shows very little use.

Looks like a very nice rifle.  Takedown 92’s are not what are routinely found.

The feature locks up very tight on this one as might be expected from the overall cond. I have a couple others that have a slight wiggle. Doesn’t affect how it shoots but is a little distracting. It appears the adjustment screws have been turned already & I’m having no luck tightening it.

There is a video on this site showing the proper way to tighten the take down without turning the screws.

Shoot low boys. They're riding Shetland Ponies.

Thanks,

I will look for that. I haven’t pursued it lately.
