Hello Winchester collectors. I don’t want to violate the rules here so I’ll try and be careful. I also don’t want to join your fine site when I’m no longer actively collecting Winchesters, just to find a new home for one barrel.
My question is, where can I sell this so a proper Winchester guy can buy it…and not some scammer that just wants to throw together a gun and claim it as an all original piece? Somebody somewhere has a US marked receiver that was re-barreled to be a bird gun and would love to find this barrel, I just need to know where to find them.
I hope I didn’t already violate any rules by asking for suggestions.

Photos will be essential, as a guest you will need to post a link to a photo hosting site or have a member post them for you. An interested collector will want to see barrel markings, underside of the barrel, and the muzzle end of the barrel including the front sight.

Thanks Mike, I’ll have to look into the photo hosting and I certainly get the importance of photos. While I’m trying to sort out the pics, I might as well give the description which I should have done earlier. The bore is mirror perfect. The stampings are crisp and perfect. The 40 stamp is correct and while of course lighter than the roll marks, it’s perfectly legible. The threads are perfect. The Parkerizing is excellent with the exception of a smaller than pencil eraser sized rub on top of the barrel about 3″ behind the bead that just made a shiny spot, not marring the steel.
