Identify gun please

I have two pics of my grandfather holding the gun he carried during wwii. I would like to see if someone can identify what kind and model it is. I would like to have one like he carried. I cannot get the pics to attach does someone have to approve it first?

As a guest you need to post the picture to a host website- or provide a link to the pictures.
you can also email them to a member and they can post for you

If you can’t post the photos you can at least tell us what the markings on the receiver and barrel state, that will go a long way to identifying the firearm.
