Was looking for a while and lost out on a few bidding wars, but at Tulsa this past weekend I picked up two Lee-Navys (will post pics later).

First one was a USN marked first contract, 6000 serial range, stock has been cut down to just in front of the handguard/band and the sight hood is gone, but other than that it’s in good shape and not permanently modified otherwise. Paid $1400 for it.

Second one is a factory sporter in an aftermarket Monte Carlo type stock, a bit more worn than the first rifle. Got that one for $800.

Anyone know of any stockmakers that might have a Lee-Navy military-style stock pattern available? I tried Wenig and they don’t have one. S&S said their supplier for both stocks and front bands and sight hoods went out of business. Really hoping to find parts to restore the Navy rifle to near-original configuration.

yeah unfortunately it seems that all three of the most important parts I need to rebuild it are unobtanium. May need to find a junked one and reproduce the parts from that.

If you’ll follow the instructions on the Homestead site for out of stock items they will contact you when the parts become available. They buy and part out old guns continuously. I used that service to obtain an inner magazine tube for a Winchester Model 1903 awhile back. It’s sad that old guns get parted out and effectively cease to exist but the process keeps old guns running and the survivors become more valuable, at least in theory.
