Dan Shuey’s books on headstamps and his book with Ray Giles on the Winchester cartridge boxes.  Some of the boxes say which primer is to be used when reloading.

Bidding?

If you are refering to an auction, I have not purchased anything since last year and I have never purchased any vintage primers….I should have..lol

Laugh I am trying to put a Winchester 44-40 primer timeline on the 44-40 cartridge website and I have exhausted my resources.

Bryan, there were several boxes in the last Ward’s auction.  I almost bid on 1 lot.  There was one in this lot that did not have a date code on the box so I figured it was the oldest of the lot.

I was looking at your website and I saw the Mills belt.  You may want to state that Winchester made the buckle.  Mills contracted the making of the belt and the buckle.

Do you know the period that the Milbank primers were used?  I have some cartridges, not 44, that have these primers.  You may want to track down this article?
