Well, I might not need the 75 book.Jeff just helped me buy a real nice 75 Sporter in Vegas.
Pics or it didn’t happen! Hard to beat hunting with an experienced guide but I think Jeff’s 75 book will help me enjoy mine even more. The recent close call notwithstanding I’m not planning on adding any to my little collection.

Mike, I’ll post a pic when I can get the rifle in my hands again. The seller and I live close to each other and will take it to a local auction house and they will do a legal Ca. transfer. Then I have to wait 10 days before I can pick it up.
If you can’t wait just call Jeff. He might vouch for me. Then again, maybe not.

Simply won’t do, Chuck. Will need to see pics when available. All kidding aside I think the Model 75 Sporting is one of the most attractive rifles in my collection. Clean, classic lines and in most cases nice wood. Actually the wood in my example has less figure than most I’ve seen, and you probably know how much I enjoy pretty wood.

This rifle has some insignificant wear at the muzzle, it is missing the front sight hood and I think Jeff said something about the rear sight. But beautiful in my eyes. The hood and site issues are easily fixable. It’s a keeper but I may now have to find a Target. There is one at the shop that someone critiqued for me. Not something to buy. I will print the critique and take it to the shop to learn.
