My first posting to this forum…
Both my parents worked for Winchester. My dad worked from 1934-1958 and my mom from 1940-1956.
I have several gold service pins from their time there. I have two 5 year service pins. One is stamped 8k and the other 10k. I also have a 15 year 10k gold pin, and a 20 year 10k gold pin. I’m not looking to sell anything, I just wanted to get an idea of how common they are, and what a ballpark value might be. They are in perfect condition.
My dad was a member of their "safety corps". I have his safety corps pin (#1856) and several old photos of the annual gatherings they held. These are in pretty poor condition. My dad had them rolled up for many years.
One of the more unique items is a flashlight. The story my mom told is that a lady was punching holes for the switches and made a mistake by punching 2 holes. This went in the bin and made it to my mom’s station. Since it would have been rejected, she installed 2 switches and brought it home. We used it for years. Both switches work. It’s a pretty standard 2-cell flashlight which I’ve seen sell for around $15.00 at antique shows. I’ve been offered $70.00 but turned it down. Like I said, I’m not interested in selling anything. I just wanted to share some family-related stuff that folks here might appreciate.

I don’t have a clue on the value of your items, but I did want to say thanks for sharing your folks story of their time at Winchester……….very interesting. Keep the stories coming if you have any more Winchester Plant info. I always like to hear about the old days.
Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy it as we all do. Be patient waiting for responses, sometimes it get pretty quiet on the weekends. Everybody must have better things to do than surf the forums on Sat and Sun.

Hi. I am only a new member (15 months) I am from Victoria in Australia.
I have been collecting Gun club badges for about 16 years and I also collect Winchester badges of which I have a couple of hundred of.
I have Winchester service badges for 5 , 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years.
The 5, 10 & 15 year badges usually sell for from $40 US dollars to $100 US but the older ones I have seen go for up to $350.00.
Obviously there would be far less of the higher numbered badge because there were not anywhere near as many employee`s who stayed on long enough to receive them.
If anyone can help me, I am looking for a 40 year and a 50 year badge. Does anyone know what amount of years they went up to?
