A fascinating experiment would be for Stefan to email his photo to Merz & ask him what’s he’d PAY for this box. Something tells me the discrepancy between “buy” & “sell” prices would be alarming.

I can’t imagine anyone here paying so much for it. There is a zero in the amount too much. What you ask for and what you get don’t necessarily have to match.
Greetings from Germany

Stefan, this box is worth around $8,000 here in the US. New Haven Arms ammo was made for the Henry rifle. This box is in the 1862 range. What does the head stamp look like? There were 2 styles with one being worth a few thousand more than the other.
I just found the exact same box. Their cartridges also had no headstamp.
According to the description, these are very early cartridges from 1860 – 1863

Stefan – appears you need to throw a few boxes of the collection in your checked baggage and head for the U.S. – the January show in Las Vegas would be the perfect place to trade some of your ammo for some Ben Franklins.
I wouldn’t trade them for dead presidents because they are worth less every day.
