I have a 38″ metal Winchester horse and rider sign, and am going to sell her… my question is … does any one have any historical information on these signs.
thanks in advance, Bill

Are any of the cast iron signs floating around purporting to be authentic “Winchester” signs real? I remember being in the shop of an importer in the early 80’s that had a lot of the small(6 inch or so long) Winchester dealer signs and they were all aged to look old. He had a ton of different fantasy items he was having made and selling for what they were and not advertising them as real. Now I am seeing a lot of larger ones and wonder if they ever made any authentic cast iron ‘Winchester” signage.
this is not cast iron, it is aluminum, or at least a magnet does not stick, made by Stout Industries… and have had it since the mid 70’s
