Just got this box in the mail from Wards Collectibles. The auction description was written as the box ” being a partial 10 round box”. I hadn’t read it correctly and won the auction at 40 bucks. After commissions and shipping total came out to 60 bucks. No big deal. I open the package and low and behold its a full box of correct ammo!!!
This box goes with my recently acquired pre ’64 model 70.
Good score! Ward’s sells a lot of my items. As soon as the items are posted, I check the descriptions. Occasionally, I have them change something, to ensure correctness. Whoever owned those cartridges should have read the description. Their loss, your gain!

i’ve come to like the Wards Auction. This is the second item that i have won that was below “market value” The last item i won from them was an 1873 bore mirror. One of the little brass reflectors. I think i only paid 75 bucks for it.

I wonder if the seller just wanted to make sure you weren’t expecting a full 20 round box. Based on what little I know about collectable ammo I’d say that was a very nice score indeed. Congrats!
