I was cleaning out my garage( down sizing) and found to large ingots of lead. Total weight is 77 lbs. Any idea what is worth? I am not a bullet caster and clearly not worth shipping to any one here, will offer locally. Just looking for input. TIA.

Basic lead (for weight) is about $1 per pound but properly alloyed lead for bullets is going for at least double that.  Depending upon the type of lead you have, your 77 lbs is somewhere between $75-$150 on average.  At least that is what I have seen lately……

If you are near AZ/NV I will take it.

You’ll make some caster’s day, lead is getting hard to find in some areas and the cheap scrap (wheelweights) is drying up.

Don’t laugh, I actually DO get to NH once in awhile as I do work in Glen, NH.  This week I am working in CT though.

I’ve known a few guys who ship lead through the post office.  They fill a flat rate box and it weights about a million pounds.  It always make them smile to pay that flat rate fee.

I had a supplier in the NE somewhere who would do that, even had an ingot mould that would make ingots to fit in the flat rate box with minimal movement. She made a deal with her letter carrier to only ship one or two boxes a day, IIRC.
