Ok guys I finally slugged my barrel today. I used two different instruments. Micrometer and vernier caliper. Both gave me a measurement of .257. So my question is should I size the cast bullets to .258 or .257. I will be using the Lyman 65 gn cast with gas check.

Steve,

I recommend trying both sizes… you will quickly discover which size shoots better.

I do not plan on shooting any hot loads either. I like that standard velocity stuff. Much more fun to shoot.
