Another freezer buck, 110 yard, 53′ Shilen Barreled 25-06 with Borden, Pacific Research,Rimrock stock, A sweet whitetail tackdriver
I worked with a nephew one afternoon at range with the same 25-06, I had him knocking the black out of a 3 ” orange stickon, target dot in less than 10 shots with me coaching him, first time he had shot a high power centerfire, I put him in my favorite stand and told him to shoot anything with horns for freezer, His first deer hunt, and 20 min later I heard the shot!
A turkey hunt with grandads 1897, 30″ full choke and paper hull #2’s, My grandfather was a no> 2 Diehard, I am too !!

Looks like you are in the South and have had some good hunting with your Winchesters there on both Whitetails and turkey. Hogs too?

Nice, I recently shot an Oryx on the White Sands Missile Range at a whopping 542 yards with a 1953 06, 180 grain barnes bullet and a decent Gila Nat. Forest mule deer both in New Mexico (same gun but with a 150 Sierra). Nothing like a model 70. Not only are they nice shooting rifles but they give you something to admire while your waiting.
