Been hearing about Jamison brass being offered in quantity lately but none of my “usual suspects” seem to carry it but it appears that some did at one time. Anyone have any actual experience with this manufacturer? If Midway and Midsouth et al can’t or won’t keep it I’m a little hesitant to invest in their product.

Mike,

I have some Jamison brass in .40-60 WCF, and .45-75 WCF for my Model 1876 rifles.  It’s very tough, and is headstamped correctly.  I would buy more if I could find it.  Please let me know if you stumble across any .45-75  brass.  I understand Jamison sometimes marked their brass JBA.

I think the company has been in and out of business several times.

Correct… they sometimes marked it “JBA” and other times “JAMISON”.  This is how they head stamped their 33 WCF cases and the 40-60 WCF 40-82 WCF cases

I have some Jamison brass and have no complaints.  Right now if I needed brass I’d buy most anything that has a proper head stamp I could get my hands on.

I placed a bid on 800 rounds of .45-75 ammo made from Jamison brass through the SSLFirearms.com auction.  There were no other bidders so I thought I was “in like Flynn” but I got a call from SSLFirearms.com staff that said the auction was canceled.  The consignor sold the entire lot of all the cartridges to one buyer.

Skunked again!
