God, guys, guns and grub. Our church, along with a church in the neighboring county, got together for a day of fellowship, shooting, and BBQ. While there was clay shoots, some long range target and pistol competition , I had brought along a verity of my Winchester 22`s and spent a wonderful day with 6 young boys who had never had the opportunity of shooting, with Dad’s permission. There was a 1890 in WRF, a mod 74, a mod 77, a mod 290, a 250, and 9410 (in order of popularity). I have never been as busy or as attentive as I was that day at the range. Dead tried around the fire pit after eats, the boys came up during the prize presentation and publicly thanked me, made my day for sure.

Now that’s my kind of church! You did a great service to the next generation of shooters and collectors by spending that day with them. By inspiring interest, knowledge, and respect for firearms at a young age they will, hopefully, grow up as responsible gun owners that will enjoy and respect guns and not fear them. The future of our second amendment is dependent on that.

Good job and thank you, Vince, for all the reasons Don articulated so well above.

We’re planning another, or rather the Church Board Members are. This time I’ll be a little better prepared and have my loading tubes filled for reloads. I might even remember to take pictures!
