A few weeks ago I took this nice cinnamon colored boar with my Super Grade in 300 H&H, she was made in ’51. We were back in the middle of no where in the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho, some of the most gorgeous country I’ve ever laid eyes on. A hand loaded Nosler Accubond put his butt on the ground.

It is beautiful country. I used to guide elk hunts in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and I’ve hiked over much of it.
You never know! I thought maybe you were funnin’.
The other day I saw a lady doing dishes at an outdoor sink at a campground and said: “Got you doing KP Duty, eh?” She looked at me like I was from Mars and asked me what KP Duty meant. I asked her where she was from, thinking she might be a foreigner. Nope, she was U.S., about 35 years old. I had to explain it to her.
I’m officially old.
Good lookin bear, and rifle. Congrats!
We dont have bear down here in south TX anymore, however there have been a couple of black bear sightings an hour or two west of San Antonio. Cant hunt them though, that would land you in jail and a hefty fine.
