Howdy I will try and post my first pic. here. A Wt. hunt in 2012 with my favorite 1876 Winchester 45/75 wcf. hunting rifle. The load was 350 gr. soft lead bullet from an original Winchester mould loaded over a case full of 2ffg Swiss bp.std. Winchester primer ,and put together with a original Winchester tong tool. You did it right, complete with bullet from an original mould and Swiss black. It doesn’t get better than that!

Thanks to all . Dimrod, that is the exit wound showing in the pic. I had spooked that bk. out of a rocky draw, and he put about 160 paces between us before I got him stopped with a whistle. I lined up the sights and give him a barrel. He jumped into the air hit hard fell to the ground recovered and scrambled about 25 yd. before giving up the gohst. Happened fast ! The smoke was still hanging in the air ,and he was down for keeps. Nothing like hunting with the old rifles. ,,,,Dusty Texian

Great hunt and rifle,Dusty. My first deer was bagged with a Winchester Model 1886 .45-70 using the old .405 grain bullet.
