Just saw this, has active bidders but I see something /things wrong .
Vince, That is a Junior Target Shooter’s Special (not a “youth” target) catalog number G6903R. It looks completely correct to me in your photos. I went to the GB listing and the only thing I saw in all those photos was the magazine is incorrect vintage.
Are you possibly confusing this 69A JTSS with the characteristics of the 69 Target? They are different catalog model and specification rifles. Some of the differences between the 2 models are the rear sights, chambering, 1 vs 2 sling swivels, bolt handles and stock pitch among other more subtle differences.
I think Big Larry on this forum is one of the bidders.
What did you see wrong?

Yeah, I would like to know as well. Big Larry
My bad, was thinking that the youth Target was lr chamber only. It looks like a sweet little riffle.
I’m preoccupied with an approaching forest fire. 8000 acres, O% contained, 4 mile away from our home. And we’re down wind . ?

Vince,
No worries, they are very similar rifles.
Be safe and I hope you are spared any destruction.
Best of luck and our thoughts are with you.

Two bidders took it past $1200 and then on to $1400 but I still think even $1200 was a bit steep although it was a VERY nice example. For that price I would want it in the original box.
The nice JTSS “normally” sell in the $700 range but maybe that is changing……..
There will be more, the JTSS are uncommon but not rare.

“Stupid money” prices flush them out of their hiding places. Have seen this happen on ebay many times–something sells for twice the going rate, then within a few days afterwards, multiples of that “something” are newly listed. But what I’ve also observed is that such Johnny-come-latelys rarely bring anywhere near the same stupid money.
