I always thought that the term “rimfire” was one word. Is there a reason it is two words in our WACA sub-forum title?
Just curious, thanks.

OK, thanks. I was just curious as common modern usage has it at one word but I prefer to be correct where possible.
Merriam-Webster dictionary has it at one word with the first usage listed in 1866
Oxford dictionary also has it listed as one word, hence my confusion.
