My Grandfather won a Winchester 77 as a door prize at a Grange meeting in Placerville California. Many thousands of rounds through this 22 and it has never jammed. Tube fed, so maybe that is the reason it has shot so well. Winchester Super X 40 grain  mostly.

A friend recently acquired a nice, tube fed Model 77 and I was able to try it out. My impression was very positive. The rifle is sleek looking and I love the left side charging handle. His rifle is very accurate and fed CCI Mini-Mag HP ammo reliably, but CCI Standard Velocity didn’t have enough pep to cycle the action. I am now on the lookout for a nice 77 for myself! Laugh

i have a Mdl 77 and live it but recently the operating slide mech broke and the local gun smith says he can not find the part. I am heart broken. That gun was clean, accurate as hell, and smooth operating. I am not giving up but on the path for an old beaten gun as a donor or needle in a hey stack search
