I recently aquired a model 1903 with what seems like a nickel finish on it. I am trying to figure out if this is original to the gun or done some time after.
The lettering on the gun is crisp and does not looked buffed out like other reblue and nickel jobs I have seen.
This gun appears to have been made around 1919 with a serial number of 1023**
I took lots of photos but do not know how to share photos on this forum.
