Hi all, 

  I hope you can help me.  I just missed an opportunity to buy a 9422 that had an engraved receiver with a squirrel in a tree on one side and a dog chasing a rabbit on the other side.

   Can anyone tell me which version model number and/or what year (s) this version was produced?  Was it special order/custom shop or a cataloged version?

 

   Am I looking for a needle in a haystack or do they come up every so often?

    I am ordering Pauline’s new book “son of a gun” but thought some of you might be able to clue me in quicker?

Sounds like what’s commonly referred to as a 9422 High Grade, although there was more than one engraving style on the “high grade” marketed guns. 
typically have nice grained wood.

jsgwoodsman, Nailed it!

The High grade Series ll, had the squirrel being treed by a dog. 1998-1999 approximately!

Kass,

The earlier 9422 High Grade, was issued approximately, 1995-1996. This earlier version had the engraved receiver with the racoon, and the coon hound! Just more search FYI!
