Greetings😊
I just saw the new book was out and was looking to order one. I was delighted with the Model 69 book I had purchased at the museum, and was most pleased to meet the author at the Cody show. Is there a preferred website for ordering one?
Thanks and have a great day😊

It is currently only available from RimfirePublications.com There is an optional box to match your Model 69 book if you enter the 69 book #.
It was nice meeting you at Cody also!
Best Regards,
Jeff

Mailman just dropped off my copy. Wife goes bowling tonight so I will have a quiet night to read.
She better better bowl more than one round and get food after, you’ll need the time!
I’ve been through the book several times but may take a few more times for it all to sink in.

Chuck-
Which chapters are you finding the most interesting? Making any progress on your quest for a 75?

Mike, everything is new to me. I haven’t looked for a rifle. I do not buy guns that I have not picked up and looked at unless I buy from a reliable source. It appears that I would be happy with any of the versions that are correct and have target sights front and rear. I need to find out if one variation has some better upgrade or feature I should be aware of.

I can’t help you there. It seems I like them all. I like Jeremy P’s early G7501R1 because I find the sights unusual and interesting. I like my later G7501R3 for the Redfield receiver sights and grooved receiver. I like my non-original customized shooter because I’ve enjoyed coming up with a sight package that works for me and it seems to shoot very well. I like my Sporting even though the original sights were replaced with Lyman sight blanks and a slightly later scope mounted. It has the plainest wood I’ve seen on a Sporting but it’s still one of the most attractive rifles I own. If I could find a Target with Redfield Olympic sights like my 52C I’d probably try to figure out a way to add it to my little collection. I think a military G7505R would make a nice companion piece to my Winder Musket but have no plans to look for one. I’d like to read the book again now that I have a hard copy (thanks, Jeff!) just in case I’m exploring pawn shops someday and one jumps out at me.

There was a Sporterized G7505R Type 2 or 3 at the last auction. With a checkered stock, upgraded sights and a Lyman scope it hammered at $800. I almost bid on it just for the parts. Beautiful checkered stock. I believe the barreled action was original Military. The stock was too before checkering.

Chuck-
Someone may have bought it for the scope. My modified Target has a custom stock that may have started as a Winchester stock. I haven’t tried to figure out which variant it was originally. I don’t know what the sights would be worth. I keep telling myself I don’t need any more shooters but I think someone got a pretty good deal on that auction gun. Cool thing about a 75 is a good, original specimen will probably make a good shooter. I think these 75’s are underappreciated but JWA’s book may change that. JWA is thinning the herd a bit, he probably has a rifle you’d like. I helped Jeremy P snag a nice one from him in Cody and he had a bit later Target in very good condition that would make an excellent shooter.

I’m not sure what I would have done with the parts but a Lyman Super Target Spot sight is worth $800. Lot 215.

Thanks, that is about what I figured, just under the parts sum. I do like the wood though!
