Talking to a US Military collector last week, he told me he had a very short Kerr sling with unmarked buckles. Now, I have never seen a sling for a Win. M60-A Target Rifle, but had a thought, that maybe that was what he had. He sent me the drippy mint sling and it arrived today. It seems my luck is holding out. It is a correct and proper sling for my M60-A Target Rifle. Big Larry

Big Larry,That outfit looks like it just came out of the Winchester factory. Beautiful.

Thanks. I have another M60-A Target, just a tad nicer. I doubt I will ever find another drippy mint Kerr sling. I have been looking for years. Just got lucky with this one. Thanks, Big Larry
Have you though of buying a loto ticket?
Get looking set. When you have a free hour or two, could you post the dimensions of the hardware on the Kerr sling? I thought I had one but it turned out not to original. Love the level of perfection in your collection.

The Kerr slings are unmarked and the metal is steel instead of brass. Also, they are 1 1/8″ wide, not the posted 1 1/4″ in the books. Very short. Actually, it is not difficult to tell the difference between these and the much longer Thompson and M1917 Kerr slings. Color is near the same too. Near identical, except shorter without the patent dates on the metal. They even attach the same way. Big Larry
