I have a real nice Trapper M94-22 # F 744570, 1996-2000? It has the checkered wood and a reddish color. What kind of wood is it? Walnut? Everyone should own one of these beautiful rifles. Anyone now an exact DOM?  Thanks, Big Larry

If this link:

is correct I’d say late 2000.

I’ve always liked the 94-22’s, first Winchester levergun I fired (mid-70’s) was a sweet XTR rifle. All the stocks I’ve seen were a straight-grain walnut.
