As an FYI, there is no such thing as a “deluxe” model Winchester. Winchester referred to them as a “Fancy” Sporting Rifle, or as “Special” Sporting Rifle.

The markings (assembly numbers) on the left edge of the lower tang are typical of the Fancy Sporting Rifles, but they do not really tell you anything.
