I have a Winchester Model 74 22 LR rifle, manufactured 1941, possibly for sniper duty in England during WWII. It has pre-drilled holes in barrel to mount a scope. Can someone help with establishing value. Gun is in very good condition.

We will need pictures to see where the holes are,of the sights, all the proof marks and the over all rifle. Has the barrel been threaded for a suppressor?

Have a great day

Pictures of your 74 would be very helpful in determining value.  If it is truly one of the SOG configured rifles then it will command a significant premium over a standard d&t’d Model 74.

I have 2 of the SOG rifles and both have the Parker Hale mounts on the receiver, not the barrel.   Both of mine are nearly identical.  Here are some photos of one of them.

Best Regards,

Does it have any British commercial proof marks?
