I’ll take your word about the rust, but it looks like a clean gun to me with plenty of good blue left.

The receiver still has some blue and the bore is shot. I got this rifle at 16 years and shot mostly 22 LR single loaded, or BB or CB caps. 22 longs were more expensive than 22 LR’s. One time, I pulled it on a couple guys trying to do me harm with a big butcher knife. My Dad saved me from shooting the guys. The rifle is super accurate with BB and CB caps. Big Larry
