I just got this Model 62a, the rear sight is bent to the side and twisted, someone hammered it to one side so the notch was centered again but it is a cheap fix. I just want to know if this is the correct sight and elevator before I buy anything.

I don’t know if the bottom picture is correct but the elevator is in backwards. The thumb piece should be in the back not in the middle.

Chuck, what are you basing your information on? All of my 22 pump rifles have the elevator installed as pictured above. RDB

That appears to be a Winchester 32B and is correct for your 62A. The elevator is installed correctly, on the 32B, 32C, 32D and 32E the thumb piece on the 2C elevator was forward, exactly like your photo.

Here is the Winchester catalog illustration of the 32B and the correct way to install the 2C elevator, also is an illustration of the 2a elevator with dimensions.

Just my dumb ass memory. I don’t collect guns of this vintage so I never have seen one like this before.
