OfflineI have a Winchester Model 250- I am trying to determine if it is a Deluxe or not. I have been told that it is and told that is not. I called Winchester to seek help verifying if it is a Deluxe of not and I was told that the serial number listed is past what they have records for. They customer service agent asked me to describe the rifle and he said he believed it to be a deluxe, but could not be 100% certain. Serial number starts with 630XXX.
The stock has checkering on the forend and on the grip. It does NOT have a monte carlo cheek piece. It does have the white spacer between the butt stock and the butt plate. Barrel says “Winchester” 22 SL or 22 LR Model 250 and under Winchester it says Made in USA. There are no other markings that I see on the barrel.
Any help is appreciated.

OfflinePlinkerette, Your rifle is like mine. It is not the “Deluxe” Model. The “Deluxe” Model did have a Monte Carlo stock with cheek piece. Many confuse the later style with the pressed checkering as a “Deluxe” Model. This is because the first style Winchester 250 did in fact have a plain stock.
